Xumo

Baby Steps has been the go-to web guys for Xumo since 2017. We've designed and developed 2 full versions of their incredible FAST app as well as a Brix CMS-based corporate site for Comcast's streaming mavericks.

FAST Times for Xumo

Xumo was one of the first FAST (Free, Ad-Supported TV) products back in 2017, so it was primetime for Xumo to re-design, re-brand and re-build a newer, faster, more performant, feature-packed web app to compliment the new native and OTT apps they were planning to launch.

FAST Times for Xumo

This new version has a full-featured Live Guide that includes 7 days of programming for hundreds of channels. Dedicated pages for TV Shows and Free Movies were updated and redesigned to provide a best-in-class UX for discovery as well as consumption of content. The app was built on the state-of-the-art NextJS framework, making it fast, agile and ready for another generation of design and development.

Brix CMS for Xumo Corp

When our friends at Comcast asked if we could put together a new, simple corporate site for Xumo, we knew we could help them out with a Brix-powered solution. We got updated branding from them and crafted a design that followed that identity. We were able to get this done so well and so fast because we built it on our Brix CMS platform. Slam dunk, every time.

How this got started...

Back in 2017, a colleague of ours from Red Bull made a major career move to Product Manager at Xumo, and the first agency he contacted about their new web streaming product was Baby Steps. Out of the gate we crafted the UI and UX for the web product, which was then leveraged for both OTT as well as their Native Apps. The original app was updated and upgraded until we overhauled the app in 2022.
